El Al Ban

Well my sources in the Aguda say the ban on elal has already been signed by all the big guys and will publicized if the negotiations this week fail.

Is this the start of a trend? Will all major corporations with majority Jewish shareholders be banned for being open on shabbos? We can start being like Muslims and enact an economic boycott on all Jewish products. Is this only in Israel or will they start banning American things as well?

Farmer Jacks was a Jewish owned store that was open on shabbos. I don't know anyone who didn't buy their groceries there because of it.
Disney's majority shareholders are Jewish and Disney World is open on Shabbos.

Many many more examples out there.

yeah, but Rav Elyashiv would not approve of your going to Disney either. the real question, I think, is when will they stop using electricity because the electric company works no shabbos, egged because egged works on shabbos, bezeq for the same reason, trains, etc..

The problem seems to be a new chareidi attitude towards the state. As long as they viewed the state as a secular/non-Jewish entity then there is no problem with shabbos violations on a national level.
It looks like they are buying into the concept of Itchilta degeulta and now they are insisting that anything that represents the country in any way must adhere to Jewish law.
